Recovery Doesn't End When Treatment Does
30 to 90 days of weekly group, counsellor, and therapy sessions, plus around-the-clock access to our team — so recovery doesn’t stop the moment treatment does.
What Happens After You Leave The Emerald
AIt’s crucial that once a client leaves treatment, a support system is already in place for them to succeed. Much of that is planned before discharge with the client and clinical team — but not everything can be planned for, which is why every client leaves with active, ongoing support, not just a plan on paper.
Planned Before You Leave
We combine evidence-based therapies with medical and holistic support, so treatment addresses both the symptoms and what’s underneath them.
Unwind in your private, serene room overlooking a flowing river and lush jungle hills. With housekeeping, laundry, and peaceful countryside views, you’ll have the perfect sanctuary to focus fully on your recovery in absolute comfort and privacy.
A realistic weekly schedule is built before a client leaves The Emerald, giving structure to the first weeks after treatment ends. Early recovery is often most vulnerable when a client's days suddenly lose their fixed routine, so this schedule maps out therapy sessions, family or work commitments, and time for the practices developed during treatment.
For clients already connected to a 12-step fellowship, or who valued the Colombo AA and NA meetings offered during the Programme, a plan for continuing that community is put in place before discharge. Maintenance programs like these extend the peer support built during treatment into everyday life after The Emerald.
Every client leaves The Emerald with a specific plan for what to do if things go wrong, not just a general intention to stay well. This covers who to contact, what steps to take, and how to reach The Emerald's team directly if a crisis or a difficult moment happens after discharge.
Therapy doesn't stop the day a client leaves The Emerald. Before discharge, a plan for ongoing therapy is agreed as part of the aftercare package — whether that's the weekly therapy session included in aftercare, or continued 1:1 sessions with a client's original focal therapist.
The habits built during treatment — individual therapy, group work, mindfulness, and physical activity through the Programme's Holistic Therapies — only help long term if they continue after discharge. Before a client leaves, The Emerald's clinical team helps translate those practices into routines that fit realistically into life at home.
“With Emerald after care programme, the client knows that no matter what happens, they can lean on us if they're having a hard day or reverting back into old thought patterns.”
